Headed North
Up to NYC for a shoot and hopefully a very important meeting. Not sure why so few people use the train, its soooo much better than flying.

RIT
Doing an interview with the university magazine. Amazing how much this place changed since I went here. And its nice to get so much support for our film.

Better late than never
Here are some images from the show in Marin a couple weeks back. Huge thanks to Dan Veto, Scott Penzarella and Studio Velo, the guys at Mikes Bike Shop, Bernice at the Lark Theatre, my good friends Marty and Jason and all the folks who came out to see the shows. I look forward to returning to this beautiful part of the world and riding with such good people.
This work of art (imported Viva Belissimo ) was given away, huge thanks to Mikes Bikes for donating it and to Dan (standing to my right) for making it all happen.
Climbing up from the beach - Scott & Marty at conversation pace
The birthplace of mountain biking
Our group ride
Self-made successful owner of Studio Velo Scott Penzrella points out the scenery as we climb Mt. Tamalpais. The views were stunning - so glad the rain held off!
Stoked to have Marty along for the adventure
Felt really good to stretch the legs after so much travel.
A brief stop at Muir woods - if only we had some mountain bikes to switch to...

The line
Which leads to a longer line before having to re-book to fly out tomorrow. Ze excellent.

Mayhem in the seat beside me
Seated. With screaming 2yr old and disheveled, clue-less, oblivious, control-less mother beside me.

Minutes
Before the start of the film, as I sat on stage waiting for the mic to start working...

Massive
See that little guy sitting in a chair on stage? That's going to be me in a couple hours. Satellite check - all systems sync'd.

Taylor Swift
Literally bumped into her coming out the lift (tho I admit I have little more than a clue as to who she is)

Quiet, Cold Day
After catching up on sleep I've ventured outside. A bit nicer than the dark rain of yesterday. Not a cloud in the sky here. Perfect day for hot chocolate. About to head down to the BBC to meet Cav.

The Rolf & Brian Show
I asked the guys for some quotes to feed to the UK press.
This from Bernhard Eisel:
"Just put some words in my mouth about the movie. I trust you!
Just make something cool! Great inside movie, amazing pictures and rolf and brian are too funny. In my opinion they whould get a reality show!"
Here is what I got from Brian Holm:
"Chasing Legends maked me realize, what my biggest Challenge during a 3 week long Tour de France is.
It to stay in same car as Fritz Aldag 5 hours daily and Listen to his bollocks $"+@;-"+¤"
-Brian
And from Rolf Aldag:
"If I would have known that jason is such a pain in the ass, I would have never talked to him.
Or:
Jason just got lucky on that movie. His real level of filming is at a mountain bike race, not the tour de france.
Or:
The only time I enjoyed working with jason was, when I missed the team bus and he gave me a lift with his camping car, including a pizza stop and a beer out of the fridge.
Or:
Great movie, who did it?
Or:
Every time I see the movie, a lot of great memories come up. It was a once in a liftime expirience and all of the team members loved to be part of it. It really shows the inside of the team and the tour and brings all the emotions across. That what the tour is about. "
Let me guess which one you take. If none of them is good, do your own.

Broadway Success
Huge thanks to everyone who came out to the CL screening on Broadway last week. It was a great success and I had a great time during my short visit to the city. Some images from the show and NYC:
Grand Central Station - I've always found beauty in small details, even in a hall as large as GCS. The details speak to craftsmanship of another era.
The classic NYC markets
Bikes everywhere, many with tape covering every inch, many with massively huge chain locks
Someone buying sunflowers on a rainy day
The very classy Symphony Space
Friend, fundraiser and first time marathoner next month Nancy Faingar and I in front of our display. Huge thanks to PowerBar for such much product to give away.
Big space to fill but we packed it
We gave the new cycling magazine "Peloton" a shout out for their great article about the making of CL. Online abridged version here: http://www.pelotonmagazine.com/
Check newsstands next month.
A happy director after the show
